Dev Purkayastha, CEO
Dev is qualified as a Chartered Accountant in India. In 1998, he started Indevia Accounting Inc. (then called Shri Investment Advisors Inc.) to provide accounting services to members of his family and other entities.

In addition to his accounting experience, he has over 25 years of experience in the venture capital business as well as in investing in public enterprises.

As a venture capitalist and entrepreneur, Dev has a keen appreciation of the accounting issues faced by early stage companies.

One of his passions is quality. He introduced quality improvement processes in two companies with excellent results. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Prior to founding Indevia Accounting, Dev was a founding general partner of Timeline Ventures, an early stage fund. Before founding Timeline Ventures, he was a general partner in Idanta Partners Ltd., a national venture capital firm. The firm was highly successful and achieved capital growth from $20 million to $500 million from 1978 to 1997. Dev was the number two partner for most of this period.

After leaving Idanta, Dev served as Chairman and CEO of Cosmederm Technologies Inc., a developer of topical anti-irritant technology. At Cosmederm, he repositioned the company, increased the pace of marketing, secured new contracts and introduced three new product lines to market.

In addition to being a Chartered Accountant, Dev holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in mathematics.
